Other Focus Areas

The Bank also provides a diverse range of credit facilities to various other sectors in the cooperative fold in the areas of input marketing, agro-processing, spinning mills, consumer stores and allied.

Storage projects

The Bank has funded and implemented two storage infrastructure projects under International Development Agency (IDA/National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) schemes and created a storage capacity of over 4.7 lakh Metric Tonness in the rural areas by way of godowns constructed for PACS, Marketing Societies and other Societies, involving a project outlay of around Rs.50.00 crores.

Integrated cooperative development project (ICDP)

The APCOB has implemented Integrated Cooperative Development Project (ICDP) under the aegis of the NCDC under which comprehensive cooperative Development in the selected districts.

Institutional development

The Bank provides assistance by way of subsidy and soft loans from it’s internal resources for assisting the DCCBs and PACS for improving their infrastructure like buildings, banking counters, security equipment, furniture, computers and allied. To participate in the efforts towards making affiliate cooperatives financially viable, organisationally vibrant and operationally strong, the APCOB has implemented a framework of developmental action plans, which are translated into Memorandum of understandings (MoUs) and Letters of Understanding (LoUs) with the DCCBs and PACS respectively. This mechanism translates the goals and targets set for the credit system into operational covenants with the various layers of the credit system for achieving excellence in performance in key result areas.
